The artist is educated and trained to take all precautions and to ensure the safety of his clients. This includes washing his hands before tattooing a client as well as wearing a new pair of disposable latex gloves after every tattoo break.
Each tattoo session, your artist will use a new package of pre-sterilized/disposable needles and instruments or supplies opened in front of you. Each session he will use fresh ink loaded into disposable ink cups which are discarded after each client.
All areas which may be touched with contaminated gloves will be wrapped in clear plastic to prevent cross-contamination. Other equipment that cannot be pre-sterilized using ultrasonic cleaner and dry heat will be wiped with anti-bacterial disinfectant. Used needles and other objects that have come in contact with blood or bodily fluids will be disposed in biohazard/sharps containers.
Before getting tattooed, the artist will shave the area on your body where the tattoo will be placed, using a disposable one use razor and then disinfect to prevent cross-contamination.
The artist is also regulated by the local department of health.
